The Centre EndoCAS has been financed from the MIUR (Ministero dell’Istruzione dell’Università e della Ricerca) with the Decreto Ministeriale of the 17th October 2003, prot. n. 193/2003, on the basis of the call “Cofinaziamento Centri di Eccellenza Bando 2001”.
The total amount of funds is 1400 k€ (80% provided by MIUR, and 20% co-financed by University of Pisa). The funds will cover the activities of the first three years of the Centre (from January 2004 to December 2006).
The current funding is considered just an initial condition for the start-up of the activities of the Centre. The expected life of the Centre of Excellence is not limited to the requested three years of co-funding. The Centre will continue its activity beyond the 3-years funding term attracting other Projects of pre-competitive research, especially from the industries, national institution and the Commission of the European Communities.
